40th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival – Balboa Park

The Annual San Diego St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on Saturday, March 12th, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. on Fifth Avenue at Laurel Street as thousands of marchers and spectators gather to celebrate the Patron Saint of Ireland. 

See Floats, High School Marching Bands, Police and Fire Department Units, Dancing Groups, Marching and Equestrian Units, Clowns, Dignitaries and Honorees, Representatives from Ireland, Antique Cars, Irish Setters and more.

Following the parade, an event filled Irish Festival in Balboa Park (Sixth and Maple) features live entertainment on 3 Stages. In the morning they will have Irish Step Dancers and then a full afternoon line-up with Irish Folk singers and bands. All day there are Craft Booths, a Celtic Food Village and other Food Booths, a Beer Garden and a Kids Zone. 

Parade and Festival Schedule

9:00 a.m.      Festival Area Open – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
9:45 a.m.      Flag Presentation Ceremony, Balboa Park – Sixth Ave & Laurel
10:30 a.m.   Parade Steps off at Fifth Avenue and Laurel St. and proceeds North up Fifth Avenue to Upas Street, over to Sixth Avenue and South on Sixth to Juniper.

Registration is now open for the 4th Annual San Diego Leprechaun Run 5K & Kids 1K on Saturday, March 12th! San Diego Leprechaun Run is the first leg of the 2022 RUN PB Challenge. Complete Leprechaun Run, Pacific Beach 5K & San Diego Santa Run all in 2022 and receive the huge challenger finisher bling!

BONUS: All participants signed up for the full RUN PB Challenge prior to Leprechaun Run will receive the RUN PB Challenge specialty bib for all three races!
