Haustay Guest Terms & House Rules

Welcome to Haustay Vacation Rentals! We want your stay to be smooth, safe, and enjoyable. Please take a moment to review the key terms and policies that apply to your reservation.

By booking a stay with Haustay, you agree to abide by these guest terms and the full Rental Agreement, which is presented for signature prior to check-in.

📅 Reservation, Check-In, & Check-Out

Check-in: 4:00 PM PST
Check-out: 11:00 AM PST
Early check-in / Late check-out: Subject to availability and charged at $60/hour (must be approved in advance).
Late departure without approval: Subject to a $300/hour penalty.

🛏️ Occupancy & Use of Property

Properties are for residential vacation use only.
No commercial use, events, or unauthorized gatherings, without written consent by Haustay.
Maximum occupancy must match the listing and cannot be exceeded without written approval.
Over-occupancy is subject to a $500 per person per day fee and eviction.

🐶 Pets & Children

Pets are not allowed unless explicitly listed as permitted or approved by management.
If allowed, a $150 non-refundable fee per dog applies.
Unauthorized pets result in eviction and loss of payment.
Please notify us in advance of any children under age 18 staying at the property.

🚭 No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside the home or on the premises.
Violations are subject to a $500 cleaning fee and immediate eviction.

🔇 Quiet Hours & Community Rules

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
Guests must comply with all HOA or community regulations.
Repeated noise complaints may result in eviction without refund.

🚗 Parking

Please follow all posted parking rules and HOA guidelines.
Unauthorized vehicles may be towed at guest expense.

🔐 Safety & Security

Tampering with smoke detectors, Wi-Fi routers, or exterior security cameras is strictly prohibited.
There are no surveillance devices inside any Haustay property.
Do not disable or block any safety equipment.

❌ Prohibited Conduct

Guests will be immediately evicted (without refund) for:

Hosting unapproved parties or events
Drug use or criminal behavior
Use of stolen credit cards
Cryptocurrency mining
Violating occupancy, pet, or smoking policies

🧾 Fees & Payment

A non-refundable cleaning fee is charged at booking.
Additional charges apply for excessive cleaning or damage.
All fees must be paid before check-in.
Charges will appear as “Airbnb” or Haustay on your statement, depending on where you booked.

💳 Security, Disputes, and Damage

Haustay reserves the right to charge your card for:
Property damage
Missing items
Unauthorized late check-outs or guests
Extra cleaning required
Payment disputes (e.g. chargebacks) made without contacting Haustay may be treated as a breach of agreement.

🚫 No Refunds for:

Weather events, power outages, noise, or construction
Inoperable amenities (e.g., hot tubs, Wi-Fi, HVAC)
Delays caused by acts of nature or government

🛟 Risk & Liability

Guest assumes full responsibility for their party’s safety.
Haustay and the property owner are not liable for injuries, lost property, or accidents.
Guest accepts all risks associated with recreational or water activities.

📦 Left Items

Items left behind may be returned (upon request) for a $25 handling fee plus shipping.
Unclaimed items are discarded after 14 days.

📝 Insurance & Accessibility

Haustay is not an insurer. We recommend guests obtain travel insurance.
Properties may not be ADA-compliant. It is the guest’s responsibility to determine suitability prior to booking.

📜 Full Agreement & Legal Terms

These policies summarize the key terms of our full rental agreement. Before check-in, all guests are required to electronically sign the full Rental Agreement, which governs the reservation. To receive the full agreement for review please e-mail us at [email protected].
