Our ocean front condo we lovingly call Juniper Beach 2BR, is located steps away from a staircase leading down to the pristine beach of Carlsbad, CA. This unit is a two bedroom, two bathroom, second floor vacation retreat that sleeps five. As soon as you walk in the door the elegant beachy decor welcomes you to your beach vacation. When you are ready grab a boogie board or go surf. You will be on the beach and enjoying the water within minutes. If you prefer to explore on land, this home is known for it's "walkability" located walking distance to excellent restaurants such as Vigilucci's, Park 101, and many shopping options located in the Village. After a fun filled day, head back to Juniper Beach 2BR to retire on your private second floor ocean facing deck as you watch beautiful sunsets go down over the Pacific Ocean nightly.

The space
This unit is a two bedroom, two bathroom, second floor, oceanfront unit located in beautiful Carlsbad, California. The home does have AC which is difficult to find in Carlsbad and has amazing ocean views.

- Hot/Cold outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after your return from the beach.

- Two car garage with private stairwell access directly into the unit

Guests will have exclusive access to the unit with self-check in capability via a smart lock. The unit, garage and oceanfront patio are all solely for guest use. The Outdoor courtyard on the east side of the property is shared with two other units in the building.

This property is professionally managed by Haustay Vacation Rentals who will always be available for any guest inquiries.

Located along Carlsbad Boulevard known for its good beach break surf out front of the house and fun tidal pools for the kids to explore at low tide just south in the Terramar area.

Car is not required due to the great walkability of the location and easy access to car services such as Uber and Lyft.

Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. No Pets.

Pack ’n Play setup available as an add-on for $35 + tax, or upgrade to the Pack ’n Play + High Chair setup for $55 + tax.

Clean and Comfortable Stay Near Carlsbad Village

The rental matched the listing perfectly—clean, comfortable, and overall a really lovely place. A few decorative items were quite dusty, but aside from that, everything felt fairly well cared for. The location was great too, with an easy walk to the Village. The only drawback during our stay was the beach situation. Beach access was farther than expected, and carrying gear for three blocks wasn't ideal. Once there, the beach itself was unfortunately unwalkable due to the aftermath of a recent hurricane. Large rocks covered the shoreline for miles, so instead of walking along the water, everyone had to stay on sidewalks and pathways. Of course, this wasn't anything the host could control, but it was disappointing since our annual Carlsbad trips usually include long beach walks. Next time, I'd definitely check weather and beach conditions before booking. The master bedroom bed was comfortable, but the beds in the second bedroom were quite firm, better for children than adults.

Perfect Beachfront Getaway for the Whole Family

What an incredible property! We took our 11 year old son for his birthday and it was directly across from the beach. We could sit on our balcony and watch the waves if we didn't want to go down and get sandy. Walking distance to shops/downtown Carlsbad or a quick drive if walking isn't your thing. The garage fit our minivan, the beds were comfortable and the property was spotless and had all the amenities you would need, pots, pans, a full kitchen, beach toys and an awesome host who was quick to answer any questions. Will definetly book again!

Great place in a great neighborhood! We stayed with our 7 month old, so we really appreciated the proximity to downtown, the walking path near the ocean, and the grocery store. The two car garage was a great perk, too! Just be careful if you rent or own an SUV... it's a tight squeeze! A few things that are worthy of mentioning in case this pertains to you: The second bedroom has no ocean view, so it's definitely best for kids. (Not a second couple.) The pots/pans could really be upgraded, but I'm sure we're some of the only people who actually cook in their AirBnb. (Again... 7 month old... hard to go out sometimes!) Some of the "basics" they listed like salt, pepper, sugar, etc. were empty, but again, the grocery store is super close. None of that took away from how great this place is, and we'd definitely stay again!

Our stay at Juniper Beach was absolutely perfect — everything we expected and more! From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The space is beautifully decorated, bright, and airy, with the kind of ocean views you never get tired of. We loved having the french doors open during the day to let in the sea air, and cozying up by the fireplace on the cool fall nights — pure magic. Every detail was so thoughtfully handled. The kitchen had everything we needed (and more!) — from quality cookware to a full coffee setup — and the hosts even offered a service to stock our fridge before arrival, which made settling in effortless. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms were stocked with plush towels and great products, and having laundry in-unit was such a plus. Hands Down the Best Carlsbad Rental We've Ever Stayed In!

Holy cow! We've been coming to Carlsbad and renting homes for 14 years now (our first visit was back in June 2011) and this is hands down the best rental we've ever stayed in! The kitchen is the most well-stocked I've ever seen, the decor is beautiful, the beds are super comfortable, and the whole place is spotless. This is exactly how a vacation rental should be done! We knew there'd be a little street noise, but being right across from the beach more than makes up for it. 5 stars! I'd give more if I could!

The house was beautiful with excellent views just as described! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the waves or walking to all the local restaurants. The only thing to note is there is not any beach items so make sure to bring your own umbrellas, chairs, etc. There were a few sand toys and they provided lots of beach towels, but otherwise just make sure you bring your own stuff for the actual beach. As long as we are driving to bring those extras, we'll definitely book again!

We rented this place to celebrate my teen daughter's birthday. She wanted to be close to the beach and invite a couple of friends so this was a perfect set up for us. The Master Bedroom is on one side of the house and the other room with 3 beds was on the other side so we had some separation which was great. The view is awesome! We sat on the balcony often and had the balcony doors open at all times when we were there to enjoy the view and ocean breeze. One feature I personally enjoyed was having a garage to park in and stairs in the garage that led to the house (you didn't have to walk around). We also felt safe at all times which was important to me since it was a "girls" trip. Would love to stay again!

Spacious Oceanview Retreat in the Heart of Carlsbad

Lovely home overlooking the ocean! It felt very spacious. It has a large master suite including a sitting area overlooking the ocean. Huge master bathroom and closet. My kids enjoyed the bunk room and their own bathroom. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony watching the waves and the surfers. The only downside is that Carlsbad Blvd runs between the home and the beach so you have street noise below you. But the gorgeous SoCal beach views make up for it. You literally just walk across the street and have a beautiful beach to play, swim, surf on. We walked to many restaurants and shops less than 15 mins away. Two large garage spots were very nice! And boogie boards and beach chairs to borrow.

We booked a last-minute stay and were delighted by the condo - prime location right by the beach, providing gorgeous ocean views, super close to Carlsbad village and great restaurants nearby. The place was clean and bright, and the hosts were very responsive. They even provided a care package during our stay and a kind note when they learned that we had come to Carlsbad from LA to escape the recent wildfires. Overall great experience, and would highly recommend!

We had family from Colorado and Arizona. Saturday night, we bought fish and Chips and were brought back to the Gorgeous view and had the best early Thanksgiving Dinner. Our mom's side of the family is from England, and we love the Harbor fish and chips. The best part was watching my cousin's husband relax on the balcony. He had just got back from fighting the Fires in Orange County. It was a perfect day for the little ones as they had a birthday party at the Altitude jumping venue. They were exhausted:). We loved our stay here! You can't beat the location right across from the beach and very walkable to the Village which is full of shops and restaurants. Porch was great to enjoy views and takeout. Setup was perfect for our family and had room for a pack and play. Awesome to have the garage for parking! Our jeep grand Cherokee fit for reference. As mentioned in other reviews the road is quite busy and can be loud at times but not detrimental to the stay. Well worth it for view and location. Thank you!

We had fantastic stay at this beachside rental. We loved the ocean front patio and the close proximity to restaurants. We stayed for 2+ weeks and found the kitchen well stocked. There is also a shared closet on property with tons of beach umbrellas, chairs, etc. Definitely would stay again. Thank you for a great two weeks.

Spectacular Place

We were there only for a weekend, but the place is awesome and would definitely stay again. This trip was just two of us, but the second room could accommodate another couple and/or additional children (queen bed + bunk bed). The place is great, but the real draw is the location / view as it has an unobstructed view of the ocean. The sitting area / deck is great for relaxing and enjoying the view and the master also has a nice sitting area with the view. The inside is nicely done / modern including the bathrooms. We parked on the street (ample street parking was available) and largely walked to the village / beach as everything is in a 15-20 minute walk distance. Hosts were proactive communicating check-in info and followed up to make sure we got in okay. Also checked in during the stay to see if we need anything. Would highly recommend.

This place is great, street parking was easy to find and you're allowed to park over night. I mention this for families traveling in mini vans or vans. The garage just fit my family's Honda Odyssey. (Width was tight, depth was good) on the Western door. I do not believe it would have fit in the eastern garage. But like I said street parking is abundant and allows over night. Stairs to the unit are tight, if you're carrying luggage but manageable. If you're worried about it the main stairs are wide and easy to navigate. Sleeping with the windows open you will hear traffic on Carlsbad blvd, it does die down later into the evening and you can hear the ocean at night. The patio is freaking amazing and overall the house was great. Second bedroom is cozy with the bunk bed and bed, but fit my two year old's pack and play just fine. Overall, I believe my wife and I will make this place and its adjoining rentals a place to stay with our family and friends.

10/10 would stay again. 1 block walk to get to a stairway that leads down to the beautiful beach. About a ten minute walk to many restaurants and little shops. Place is just as it appears. Clean. Precise directions to get in. Hosts very available if you need anything. Yes, busy road right out front but Unit B, porch up above is so nice. Hear the ocean, watch the waves and surfers, few minutes and you're on the beach. They have a bunch of chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, beach towels. If you're debating…do it!

Beautiful place. Updated and very clean! Haustay made checking in and checking out super smooth and easy. They provided everything we could ever need in the kitchen. Large bath sheets for towels in the bathrooms which I absolutely LOVE. Beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and umbrellas galore!

We had an amazing experience with Haustay. Definitely recommend this property and location. We loved being across the street from the ocean and less than 1 mile walk to town. The accommodations were perfect. Comfortable beds, beautifully furnished, deck with a view. We didn't do a lot of cooking so the small-ish kitchen was perfect for our needs. This great spot was everything we needed to make our family vacation wonderful! We have 3 little boys so I wanted easy access to the beach. The beach equipment worked great! Beach access was one block away. The beach was clean and the ocean waves were amazing! We cooked a lot. The kitchen was very functional with plenty of utensils and cookware. All appliances were clean and well functioning. Grocery store was less than a five minute drive. Carlsbad is beautiful and we felt very safe. So many restaurants
