Location is amazing. Communication was excellent and overall we had an amazing time. The only downside is check is 4pm , 3pm would be more ideal. Huge laundry room which was really useful full of extras for the beach like chairs, beach towels etc. just wonderful!

Great house, very comfortable and a great location. All the beach amenities were wonderful and the beach entrance is only a block or so away. The only drawback was that sofa bed was in the converted garage rather than the living room, and it was a bit warm in August, but opening the garage cooled it down a bit.

Location, location, location! Stayed here for over a week and only got in the car once. Very walkable to the beach, restaurants, bars, shopping & the Farmer's Market on Wednesdays. While it is on the main road thru Carlsbad it felt very peaceful, especially with the nice park right next door. Clean & comfortable. I would stay again!

Perfect size house for our family. This house location was perfect for our teenage son and our two large dogs. Conveniently located right next to a park and that made it a breeze to walk our dogs and they loved it. There is a beautiful rose garden located in the park that you can walk by on your way to the beach. Overall we loved the location of this house, so close to Carlsbad Village, the beach and the park. The house was very clean and we loved our stay there!

Haustay Vacation Rentals was an absolute dream to work with. Before our stay, they sent detailed emails with clear instructions and information, answering most of our questions before we even had to ask.
The property itself was beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The location was perfectly centrally located with easy access to everything. The French Corner coffee shop right across the street was the perfect way to start each day, and so much was within walking distance.
One of our favorite features was the convenient beach access a few steps from the backyard gate. While we didn't bring a pet on this trip, we would absolutely consider it in the future because the property is exceptionally well set up for dogs.
We were so impressed with every aspect of our stay that we're seriously considering making this an annual tradition. Highly recommend!

Spacious, clean, well stocked house with lovely backyard. Not “steps from beach” as advertised but a solid 2 blocks away from beach accessible by a narrow steep staircase. Should also be noted that house is on a noisy main road (bus stops directly out front and a train runs morning to night blowing its whistle) wedged between a building and a public park.

We loved staying here! It was a short walk down to the beach. There is a public beach access gate with about 20 steps. The beach does have some river rocks mixed in with the sand but was very quiet and clean for us to enjoy. Neighborhood is quiet. The dog run was absolutely perfect for our two small dogs and they were right at home. We enjoyed the large brick patio with trees and cozy patio furniture/fire pit. The home had plenty of space for us and was sparkling clean. Kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast here and there. There is a delicious French bakery across the street and downtown Carlsbad shopping and restaurants within walking distance. We love pizza port with our dogs as well. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a great place to stay in Carlsbad. Very convenient to walk to town and to the beach. The place was extraordinarily well stocked. Everything you might need, especially in the kitchen. Lots of space. A nice outdoor sitting area. A second living room that opened up to the outside was also a bonus. It would be very convenient. If you had a dog, the park is right next-door.

Had a great stay with our adult children and little grands. Walked to Beech St beach access as well as MaGee park next door and Shorehouse Kitchen for breakfast, Tortilla Mia for margs and dinner, and Harbor Fish Cafe for dinner. Vons grocery is nearby as well as So Oceanside eateries and health food store. Home was super comfy and clean. Cooked multiple meals.
Location is probably the best part if we had to pick. Highly recommend

The house was perfect for our family of 6 with 4 young kids. Plenty of space inside, the accommodations were perfect. We brought our 2 small dogs and they had a great time. A large laundry room was perfect for the dogs to stay and the dog run was so convenient for them. The location was perfect for walking to everything in Carlsbad Village and easy access to the nice beach. Beach chairs and towels were provided, making it super easy for us. The area is very easy going, family friendly and very safe. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved this spot! Very close to all that Carlsbad Village has to offer and a great park right next door for our dog to get some running in. We enjoyed the outdoor areas including the fireplace. Kitchen had everything we needed to grill some great dinners on the patio. Overall really enjoyed it and will be back!
