Relaxing Retreat in a Perfect Walkable Location with Responsive Hosts

This rental couldn't have been in a more convenient location! Everything was walkable. The hosts were super responsive. I would have preferred to have an actual portable AC unit as the bedroom was warm at night - the AC unit in the living room was attached to the window.
We truly enjoyed our time at your relaxing retreat!

Wonderful location, everything you need is walkable. House could use some renovation upgrades. Host was great, made very nice accommodations to accommodate us during our stay. I would recommend this rental for a couple that like to be out and about during your stay, either out on the deck, enjoying the view, on the beach just below you or as a centralized location for your other adventures out to sea, up to Los Angeles or south to San Diego and Tijuana Mexico as my wife and I did. Great trip!! Will be back coming from Pennsylvania in the near future.

First I'd like to mention that the hosts were amazing! Always extremely responsive and super friendly and helpful, and they gave a lot of great recommendations! Second, this was an amazing prime location. We had a toddler and a baby and the location was perfect to be able to come up and down for naps, snacks, etc.. super walkable! The only down side was that we came during a heat wave (no one's fault) but it was so hot and hard to cool down even with all the windows open and fans blowing, not too much ventilation in the unit. The place was actually larger than I anticipated as well! Being right in the village was amazing to walk anywhere, and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone! I'm sure all of the hosts listings are great as well! We will definitely stay with Haustay again! Thanks guys!

Being on the beach was so nice, made it very easy with a baby to be able to walk up stairs from the sand right to our air bnb. The place was actually bigger than we were expecting and the views were amazing. A highlight from our trip was drinking our coffee on the balcony that overlooks the ocean and watching dolphins putting on a show for us every morning while we were there. Would definitely come back here again!

My partner and I had a super fun staycation here in April. Our hosts were excellent. We showed up 2 hours early to snag a good parking spot right in front of the property and were able to check in early. We made friends with the other Airbnb tenants. How peaceful it was to listen to the sounds of the ocean and to watch the sunset! We could walk right down a private staircase to access the beach. How fun it was to walk around Carlsbad Village to see the thrift shops, restaurants, and other sites! The apartment was small and clean, with beach, Snoopy and Woodstock Peanuts decor, and it had everything we needed, including beach gear. We hope to return soon and make this place an annual tradition. Highly recommend! Thank you kindly, Haustay Vacation Rentals.

Beautiful, peaceful. Right on the beach. You can see the ocean waves from the couch if you don’t want to go out to the balcony. Beautiful sunsets. The gas grill on the patio was a plus. Parking is sketchy. We lucked out and got a spot someone was leaving on the first day. The restaurant across the street will let you park there for $30, but not over night. Once we got a park right it front we took uber when we went out. Communication with the host was great. We decided to stay an extra day and they responded quickly to update our reservation. Will definitely rent this place again.
