This property is professionally managed by Haustay Vacation Rentals. Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. Pets are allowed with a non-refundable pet fee of $150 (max two dogs).

The location of this house is absolutely unbelievable. Right on the water, endless views of the ocean, front row seat to the best surfing in SoCal, beautiful sunsets. You honestly can't get any better! We had a lovely family vacation here, perfect for lounging with the family and BBQ-ing. We even got out and surfed a few days!
The home itself is a bit older but it's charming. The bedrooms and bathrooms have what you need but it's not anything fancy. There also isn't any AC, but we really didnt need it all in peak July summer (maybe 75-80 during the day), but if there was a heat wave then maybe this would have been an issue. We lucked out and had a great breeze so it didn't matter.
The high tide is real but it gets lower twice a day and we were able to go down and walk along the beach. This changes tho, sometimes early morning or late night. So check the tides, it's not a beach all day. But we made it work and still got a lot of surfing in and the kids were out catching crabs!

We debated renting this house due to the high nightly rate, but after some time we decided to splurge for our 30th wedding anniversary. The location on the beach was breathtaking! The outdoor patio was our main living and dining area while we watched the endless stream of surfers, occasional marine wildlife, the pelican air force, and the spectacular sunsets next to the outdoor firepit. During low tide we were able to take long walks on the beach with our puppy, Archie. It was quintessential San Diego beach living! Inside - The house is beachy decorated and well furnished. We felt very comfortable ... right at home. We brought our puppy, who also felt very much at home :-) The view from the living room, dining room, and kitchen large picture windows offers an endless ocean view. The beds are comfortable and it's important to keep windows open to have the ocean serenade you to sleep. We literally did not leave the house for all 4 days ... it was home away from home.

Beautiful location and home and looks just like the pictures with gorgeous views and private access to the beach. The amenities were as listed and we felt at home during our vacation. No central AC but we stayed in April with daily temperatures in the 70s - home was very comfortable with windows open during the day and slept comfortably at night with windows closed and ceiling fans running at night. Host easy to contact and responsive to questions. Clear instructions for check-in and out and helpful binder of information at check-in. Great experience at house and with Haustay.

This was such a fantastic experience! The views were amazing. The house was beautiful and decorated nicely. There was everthing available for our needs. We used the bbq and everything was there that we needed to use i( grill brush, tongs, olive oil, plates,platter, ect..)We wanted something right on the beach, but needed something with no /few stairs for my mom. There was a couple steps for the entrance and the back porch. This was perfect for my mom. We gave her the biggest bedroom because it has a seat in the shower. Which was fine with us as one of the bedrooms had a door to the back patio with an ocean view. We loved listening to the ocean roar as we went to sleep every night. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The patio was great. Lots of seating of various kinds to enjoy the ocean. The beach was very nice with very few foot traffic. We do wish the path down to the beach had handrails all the way and not just in the middle. We would definitely stay here again! We LOVED it!!

The place was incredible and we will definitely be back. Amazing view, and the patio is an incredible space to journal, read, meditate, catch up with people you love, etc.
My one complaint is that my wife and I both sleep warm and despite opening all the windows, it was still very warm in the primary bedroom and we had to make use of the fans in the house at night.
We will plan future trips for cooler months.

This is very comfortable, roomy, well-equipped house in a FANTASTIC location. The only negative was that due to the high tides at the time of our visit, there was no walk-able beach. The proximity to the Carlsbad Beaches, however, gave us easy opportunity to get in some sand/water time. The accessible garage included all the beach equipment, including an umbrella.
But the ocean and sunset views and amenities at the house were so outstanding that we stayed away for minimal time.
We had a short, but perfect vacation at this beautiful property!

Our stay was delightful. We left relaxed and refreshed. Each morning we awakened to the sounds of crashing waves and expansive ocean views. The home is cozy and comfortable as is the back patio that was perfect for meals, soaking up the sun and evening chats. The morning tide pools were great to explore and we spent a lot of time walking the beach. It was a fabulous beach weekend for our party of six adults. I've never been anywhere more peaceful than this place. Perched on a cliff with a garden path leading down to a semi-private beach (which also happens to be a popular surf spot), it feels like your own slice of coastal heaven. You can spend the whole day lounging in a chair, listening to the waves crash and soaking in the salty breeze. Watching surfers and birdwatching adds to the charm.
The house itself is a simple, clean, single-level beach cottage with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms—but the real gem is the unobstructed 180° ocean view from the living room. That alone is worth a million bucks. And honestly, for the price, it's a steal. I can't think of another place where you get this much peace, privacy, comfort, and that kind of view. I wish I could live here!

Phenomenal view, beautiful and comfortable home, great communication with host. Everything was perfect. Furniture is appropriate to period of home but still quite comfortable and well maintained. Big living room area with huge windows was family gathering perfection. House has new windows, which provided easy and adequate ventilation and the roaring sound of the sea in every room. Kitchen well stocked with every dish and gadget necessary. We were pleased with this beautiful home and fantastic location. Checkout was a breeze, literally all they asked was for us to start the dishwasher and enter a specific door code to let them know we were departing, which we were happy to do! Best and easiest Airbnb check out ever. We will be back!

This place was something else. My sisters and I do a sibling weekend getaway once a year which we started doing last year. The entire trip was a blast, none of us wanted to leave and the house was a huge reason for that. Definitely coming back

Amazing View & Attentive HostsThe location, and view are phenomenal. We had an issue with a faulty internet router, but Nick was absolutely amazing and replaced the router the very next morning. Nick and his team were true professionals, and we really appreciate the quick responses by the hosts, and eagerness to help. This is a wonderful home right above an amazing view of the ocean and beach with it's own private access down to the water/sand. High tide covers the beach but low tide lasts for awhile and uncovers a bunch of tide pools that are fun to explore with the family. Lots of cookware and kitchen supplies as well. Shore Drive is an absolutely wonderful home! From your step into the house the view is spectacular and gets even more spectacular as you enter the living room and interior of the home. The house has been very well maintained, was very clean, and the kitchen is large and fully equipped for making meals at home and having wine and hors d'oeuvres on the patio . This place is awesome. Breathtaking views of the ocean from the main rooms of the house. Private steps down to the shore. Large private patio with lounge chairs and table so you can relax outside while looking at the ocean. House was very clean and modern for a beach house. All bathroom facilities worked well, and having 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom and shower was fantastic. Kitchen has everything you need, and even Kurerig coffee is provided. Beautiful clean house, definitely as advertised. Ocean at low tide probably 100 yards away from the bottom of the stairs, revealing a nice set of tidal pools with anemone, crabs, sea grass and other creatures, and at high tide is close to the stairs. The house itself is comfy, has a small shower on the side to rise off on, and tons of natural light. Beds are comfy and kitchen is well stocked with cooking accessories spice / oil etc. Thanks again for the stay!

We had a wonderful stay during our Spring Break! This is exactly what I was looking for!! Windows to stare out to the beautiful ocean, patio to lounge/eat and stare out to the beautiful ocean and steps to a pretty private beach!! It was amazing to wake up to see the surfers up early waiting to catch the waves, to the tide pools during low tide, to steps taking you down to a water. Fantastic!!! Talk about a view. If you are looking to get away with the family and want a great place to relax, this is the place. Easy to check in and out. You could easily sit on the couch or any of the many chairs on the balcony and lose yourself the the sunny and calm view for hours on end. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. If you have a large family or group this is a great place to stay.

The town of Carlsbad has plenty of things to do if you decided to leave the proberty. The strawberry fields were amazing. Legoland is 2miles from the home. Exceptional! On the first look as you open the front door you are greeted with a GORGEOUS view that fills the whole living room. Add to this the great layout of the house with a bedroom and its fully stocked kitchen, where preparing meals while looking out on the ocean is amazing. We absolutely loved our stay at this beach house! The view is incredible, we enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the waves and surfers. The view from inside the home is spectacular as well. We spent many hours walking and playing on the beach, and exploring tide pools when the tide was low. Haustay was an amazing host, they had the home stocked with anything and everything we could need. They were very professional and communicated well with us. Amazing Family VacationCan't say enough good things about this property!
The view is absolutely stunning, the stairs leading down to the water is great, the windows when open provide the nicest of ocean breezes, and it's close to many different things in Carlsbad and SD.My wife and our three boys had a blast and can't wait to come back again.
The only thing that I would change would be to have softer newer beds in all of the rooms and maybe make the front gate a little easier to open :-)

What a place! This home has mesmerizing waves that pound the cliff at high tide. At low tide you can walk on the beach below. Its a very clean place, the photos are accurate and the management company is TOP notch! They were always available for whatever we needed where it was big or small. We hope to be back soon!

This property is simply amazing. Clean, modern and charming. Our kids loved the private beach and tide pools. We were just a few minutes from the restaurants and shops in Carlsbad village, but the street was private and quiet. It was magical to sit on the patio and watch the surf and sunset. One of our best stays ever.

Great Family StayAmazing views. Patio was huge and had spectacular views up and down the coast. The waves broke at the bottom of the property so there was the sound of the ocean all day / night. At low tide there was ample room for the kids to play on the beach. Tough to find easier access to the beach. Actually Relaxed!We stayed two nights with a family of 5, the only thing that could have been better was to stay longer! We really enjoyed watching the surfers, dolphins, and sea lions from the patio and living room. Having an almost private beach was amazing. We didn't have to deal with crowds, and it was really nice to go back to the house when we needed. Great place for a relaxing time.

Best everThe location was perfect in that there is little to no public beach access nearby. The beach for the property itself is private. No boardwalk, just waves and surfers to watch. At night, the sound of breakers is the best. The home may be a little old for some but for my family, it was more than enough, had all the surfboards, boogieboards available, parking for three vehicles and super comfortable quarters.

Beautiful home with an unbeatable view! The inside of the house is homey and functional. Fully equipped kitchen and functional spaces. The backyard deck was our favorite part and we spent hours enjoying the view! Overall we had a great time, and the hosts were kind and proactive and texted to check in with us during our stay. Beautiful remodeled and appointed older beach-front house. Everything was as represented, and Nick and Elisa were very proactive and responsive. Amazing beautiful sunsets and early morning coffee on the huge deck by the fire pit. Surf sounds all day and night with the windows open, which we loved. Plenty of dishes, silverware, towels, etc. Nick was quick to resolve an issue created by a city construction crew to our satisfaction. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic kitchen, but the views, the patio was the star event. Everything you could imagine for sea life, sunsets, waves and surfers right at your patio steps. When low tide, absolutely amazing walks and tidepools. Thanks to Nick the 2 new umbrellas arrived and were fantastic, tilting version to protect us from the afternoon sun and ocean reflection.

We had stayed many places on the beach in North County this summer and fall (due to remodeling). This place stands out as one of the best, if not the best. Clearly a host that treats you with respect and responses are immediate. The kitchen is full of gourmet tools, great barbecue, free coffee the entire stay, comfortable beds, and the views are amazing. The time spent watching the ocean, walking the beach, playing in the water, the sea life and pelicans make it picture perfect with 180 degree views! Thanks

You can not beat this view. There is nothing like a waking up to a huge and unobstructed view of the ocean. We loved having private access to the beach when it was low tide. High tide was fun sitting down by the stairs watching the sun aces crash up against the cliff. There were tons of surfers and wildlife to see. The house was well stocked, clean, easy parking and comfortable.
