There is plenty of patio beyond the covered area to soak up some California sunshine which is plentiful year round. The bedroom has a queen size bed and ample closet and storage space. Ocean breezes filter into the bedroom from the window and separate entrance door. The highly upgraded bathroom has a large walk in shower and double sinks. The living area has a great room feel and lends to the easy living feeling carried through out this home. Big comfy sofa and chair, large kitchen counter area, dining table and all the items you need to make wonderful meals at home.
Walk out your front door and go 100 steps to the right and you are at Coast Highway across the street from the world famous Carlsbad beaches. If you want to take a break from the beach, explore Carlsbad Village, located three blocks north. A wide range of restaurants, many antique stores, clothing boutiques, chocolatiers, bars, nightlife, are all within walking distance of this lovely, comfortable home.

This place was exactly as pictured and described. It was located 1 block from the beach within walkable distance to restaurants. It was great to have off-street parking though occasionally there was street parking in front the place. Overall this is excellent choice for 1-2 people in the Carlsbad area.

Carlsbad is my favorite staycation location and 180 Walnut - lower was close to perfect to enjoy the week. Stocked, clean, comfortable, convenient to Carlsbad Village and a stones throw from the beach. The private patio was also a huge benefit.
The only callout is that being the lower unit, you'll hear the folks walking above but it's nothing different than apartment living. The bedroom is cozy with a very comfortable bed. Kitchen is large and was great to cook meals a few nights. Also stocked with coffee and coffee pods; a few seasoning staples. They also offer service if you'd like groceries upon arrival or there's a grocery just a few miles away.
Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

We had an incredible time at this beach home in Carlsbad! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were super comfortable, and the views were absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunset.
The location couldn't have been better—just steps away from the beach and a short drive (or walk) to great shops, restaurants, and coffee spots. We loved waking up to the sound of the ocean and spending our evenings on the patio enjoying the cool breeze.
The host was responsive, kind, and made check-in a breeze. You can tell they take pride in keeping the property well-maintained and welcoming.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely beach house in Carlsbad! The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk from the beautiful beach and downtown. The open space design made the house feel spacious and airy, and the amazing patio was a delightful spot to relax and enjoy the coastal breeze.
One minor note is that the upstairs can be a bit loud at times, but it didn't detract from our wonderful experience. In fact, we ended up loving every minute of our stay.
Communication with the host was great, ensuring that everything was as expected and even more! We couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy our Carlsbad vacation. Highly recommended!

This AirB&B is managed by a professional rental group and it shows from the care of the property to the detailed descriptions and even 2 baseball style hats as a welcome gift.
There are two entrances to the one bedroom unit - 1 from the main street where you see the doors on the terrace and 1 in the back near the driveway where you park.
The best part is that this is one of 3 or 4 units in the building so even though it only allows for 2 adults, you can rent the other units if you have a bigger group but still be in the same building. Only downfall is that the walls and floors are thin so if you have rowdy upstairs neighbors or in our case, heavy footed children, you will hear it.
The location is unbeatable, you can walk less than 5 minutes to the beach or downtown that has a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants. They even provide beach chairs, umbrellas, life jackets & toys.

Easy to book at the last minute! Needed an easy weekend away and Haustay made it exactly that. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean accommodations located on the edge of everything. Quick walk to the beach, dining and shopping. We parked our car in the allotted spot on Friday at arrival and didn't move it until Sunday at checkout. Lovely outdoor space provided separately for each unit complete with ample seating and a propane grill. All tools needed for a peaceful day at the beach available as well.

Great location and everything was easy. We were able to park our car and walk everywhere. We went for a relaxing get away and were able to do just that. We really enjoyed hanging out on the patio. It was also nice to have the chairs and umbrella available to take to the beach. For a lower/bungalow unit it felt roomy, bright, and comfortable. The pictures offer a good depiction of what you're getting.

The apartment was absolutely lovely! Outstanding location right off the beach and walking distance to the Village; we didn't have to use our car the entire time we stayed there. The apartment has all the amenities you need, even an outdoor shower. The team at Haustay is very communicative in every step of the trip planning and the stay. I would highly recommend this apartment, and staying with Haustay at any of their properties.

We spent 9 days and loved it. Very lovely rental with lots of extras: hand soap at all sinks, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and dish soap from Public Goods (good brand). Great hair dryer, extra towels, hats and the kitchen is very well appointed with small appliances and dishes. They also have the basic spices, sugar, stevia, flour, vinegar, oil etc. The rental was very clean and the sheets and towels of great quality. They also have nice blankets for the outdoor patio. My husband and I took a beach vacay with our 1 year old! We loved how walkable the place was to the beach. There was beach gear for use at the airb&b and an outdoor shower for rinsing. The patio was lovely! We sat out there each night after our baby went to bed. And it's perfect for both making meals and grabbing food out. You can't beat the location! Would come back again!

This is a great spot for a long weekend. It's a comfortable and clean one-bedroom rental with a spacious kitchen and a nice two-sink bathroom. There's a great patio out front, and you are just one block away from the beach. The access to the beach is very convenient, as there's a stairway down from the main road.
