What is the Oceanside Ironman Competition?
The 2025 Ironman 70.3 Oceanside takes place on April 5, 2025. Conditions are ocean swimming, rolling bike paths, and rolling running. Average air temperature is 66 degrees and average water temperature is 61 degrees. Last year the competition was called off due to the pandemic, so we are sure the athletes are excited and ready to go for the event this year!
What are the Oceanside Ironman course routes?
The ocean swimming course starts in Oceanside Harbor on the beach, around the jetty, and into the harbor itself.
The bike route starts from Oceanside Harbor thru Camp Pendleton & San Onofre Bluffs State Park and is 56 miles in total distance.
The run portion of the course, which is 13.1 miles, takes you south past Oceanside Harbor, to the Oceanside Pier, down The Strand and through coastal neighborhoods. The course finishes off at the Oceanside Amphitheater near the Oceanside Pier.
